Expensive textbooks are still a problem. Will higher quality OER help?

Proponents are touting open educational resources as a cost-effective alternative to pricey textbooks. Faculty who have adopted OER also report higher student engagement, according to a report released this week from SRI Education and the nonprofit Achieving the Dream.
