One-to-one technology initiatives among some Texas school districts are giving students more individualized approaches to learning. The digital devices — ranging from laptops, smartphones and tablets — allow one seventh-grade science teacher to incorporate current events in class, provide students with online resources to prepare for competitions and have more choices in how they complete projects.
