Missing an opportunity: Ed Dept. Criticized by GAO for teacher shortage strategy

Schools nationwide continue to struggle to fill teacher vacancies, and the US Department of Education’s strategy has been inadequate to address hurdles to recruiting and retaining teachers, according to a report from the US Government Accountability Office.
