”We need to fix professional development for teachers”

Amid teacher shortages, pandemic disruptions and educator burnout, poorly managed professional development places an undue burden on already-stressed teachers, Kati Begen, a biology teacher. Replacing redundant and unnecessary training with enjoyable, content-specific professional development will increase teacher growth and engagement, Begen asserts.
